Check WORD for HTML Feature

Before you start, make sure Word has been installed correctly. During the installation, you are given the option to have Word be an HTML editor. This selection must have been made in order for you to create web pages with Word. Here is a fast way to check:

Open a blank Word document.

SAVE AS a Web Page

View HTML Source

If you do not see this option (View HTML Source), then your Word version has not been installed with the HTML editor option. You will need to reinstall Word selecting this option at the appropriate time in the installation wizard.

If you are able to see this option, then click on it. Word will open a separate window with the HTML code for your Word document. In the next lesson, you will copy and paste this code into your myschoolonline web page.
